This site is written and maintained by the Cruise Lombok editorial desk. It is a desk, not a personality: what follows is how the work is done and what the desk will and will not claim.

How a page gets written

The routine is the same for every page: find the primary source, read it, then write. Where the only available source is another travel site, the page says so instead of borrowing its confidence.

What this desk does not claim

This desk is not a licensed adviser of any kind. Where a decision carries legal, financial or medical weight, the page says to take it to someone who is. We do not publish names, job titles or qualifications here. A credential on a public page is a claim, and we will only make a claim we can put a certificate or a registration number behind. Where we cannot, we say nothing rather than write something that sounds impressive.

Sources and corrections

Figures and rules published here are taken from the operator or the responsible authority. When we have not been able to confirm something, the page says it is unconfirmed instead of rounding it into a fact. Corrections are welcome. Anything we get wrong is fixed on the page itself, with the change visible, not removed without trace.
